Chloe San Jose's Biological Mother Finally Breaks Her Silence!
Chloe San Jose's Biological Mother Breaks Silence, Reveals Strained Relationship
In a shocking turn of events, Maria Fe San Jose, the biological mother of Chloe San Jose—partner of two-time Olympic gold medalist Carlos Yulo—has chosen to speak out about her strained relationship with her daughter. Maria, commonly known as "Marie," made the decision to break her silence after being unwillingly dragged into the public eye, following a wave of controversies surrounding Chloe and the Yulo family.
The drama began when rumors surfaced that Carlos Yulo's family, particularly his mother Angelica Yulo, allegedly disapproved of Chloe. This led to heightened public scrutiny, with many netizens questioning Chloe's background and her upbringing, dragging her biological family into the controversy. The constant speculation has not only affected Chloe but also Marie and her children from her current family.
Marie, through her legal counsel and spokesperson, Atty. James Mark Padrones Ciudadano, who has been a close friend since 2006, clarified several points in an exclusive interview with Balita. With the legal representative by her side, Marie aimed to shed light on the false narratives that have been circulating about her and her family.
Who Is Chloe San Jose's Biological Mother?
One of the most widely circulated rumors is the notion that Chloe’s mother was an Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) or a laundress working abroad. Atty. Ciudadano firmly denied these allegations, revealing that Marie is now an Australian citizen employed in Aged Care Services. Additionally, he dispelled the rumors suggesting that Marie had been imprisoned.
"Chloe was born in the Philippines on March 21, 2002, and left for Australia with my client in 2013, eventually obtaining Australian citizenship in February 2020," said Atty. Ciudadano.
He emphasized that Marie had raised Chloe as a single mother and that Chloe only reconnected with her biological father last year, after being in Australia for a significant period. He also clarified that Marie got married in Australia, which facilitated Chloe and her sister’s migration.
A Troubled Mother-Daughter Relationship
Although Marie has now spoken out, her legal counsel confirmed that the relationship between Chloe and her biological mother has not always been smooth. There had been longstanding issues between them, rooted in their differing values and parenting styles. According to Atty. Ciudadano, these tensions existed long before Chloe met Carlos Yulo.
"It is true, even before Carlos and Chloe met, my client [Marie] and Chloe were already having difficulties due to differences in their ideas on parenting," explained Atty. Ciudadano.
The lawyer elaborated on the cultural gap between Marie’s Filipino values and Chloe's upbringing in Australia. Marie, wanting to instill Filipino traditions in Chloe, clashed with her daughter’s growing independence and contrasting values.
However, despite these challenges, Atty. Ciudadano clarified that there was never any legal action taken between mother and daughter. He firmly denied any claims that Chloe had filed a lawsuit against Marie.
"Chloe did not file any case against my client," the lawyer stated.
Marie’s Reaction to the Yulo Family Feud
As the rumors of Chloe’s alleged strained relationship with Carlos Yulo's family surfaced, Marie chose to remain silent to protect her own family’s peace of mind. However, false stories about her character as a mother have circulated online, which deeply affected her and her family, especially her minor children.
"For the longest time, Marie decided to keep quiet to maintain peace, but the spread of misinformation and the unauthorized posting of images of her minor children has emotionally disturbed her," explained Atty. Ciudadano.
As for the much-talked-about rift between Chloe and the Yulo family, Marie refrained from giving detailed comments, citing her limited contact with her daughter in recent years. She emphasized that Chloe, now an adult, has the right to handle her relationship with Carlos and his family in her own way.
"We cannot comment on the matter since Chloe was already an adult during that time. It is between Chloe and the family of Carlos Yulo," the legal counsel added.
Marie’s revelations paint a picture of a complicated mother-daughter relationship, one shaped by cultural differences and misunderstandings. As the public continues to speculate about Chloe and her involvement with the Yulo family, Marie’s decision to speak out highlights the personal toll that such public scrutiny can take on private lives.
