A Gasoline Boy after being Rejected a thousand times becomes a Billionaire
After the rejection of more than a thousand times, Sanders went from being given $105 from social security checks to millions of dollars for his business.
On September 9, 1890, Harlan was born on a farm about two miles [3 km] from Henryville Indiana. When he was six years old, his father died. His mother had no choice but to work for the family and to pick tomatoes in the canning industry. Harlan had to care for her siblings and do most of the cooking. By the time he was seven years old, he was a master of bread and vegetables and was already getting better with meat.
Sometimes he slept until 11 or 11:30 at night cooking. At the age of 10, he got his first job working on a farm. As a child, she was bitten by animals and was chased away just a month later. And her mother asked if she could have something in life. He said to him, "You are my oldest son and your father is dead. And you are the only one I can look to for help with other children. And you are not an account. You can't even hold a job for $2 a month. Shame on him. He told himself that he would work hard if he got a job again.
He continued to work on the farm for two years before pursuing a number of different occupations. He has worked as a street car, a conductor, a soldier, a firefighter, an insurance salesman, a hot boat operator, a lighting, a manufacturer, a tire dealer and a lawyer. At one point, his first wife, Josephine king, left them with their children because he had been evicted on his jobs many times. It was not until he started working as a gas station attendant that his fortune changed in 1924.
